Title: Sanctuary Author: Pauline Creeden Published: September 8, 2013 Genres: Post-Apocalypse My Thoughts Purchase Links Amazon | Barnes & Noble Jennie, the main character, just wants to go back to college and live a normal life. But the alien crafts that arrived, killing a third of the population by poisoning our water supply, make it impossible to pretend life can continue as normal. And then a new horror is unleashed on the remaining survivors. Though Jennie is the main character, the story is told from several points of view, allowing us to truly get to know each character in depth. In addition to Jennie, we get to know Hugh and Brad, brothers, yet completely different in every way possible. While one is humble and kind, the other is selfish and greedy. I knew from the start which one I rooted for to survive and which one I wanted to feed to the alien creatures myself. Once I started this book, I didn't want to put it down. The action starts immediately, and the pace is fast. It kept me turning the (e)pages as fast as I possibly could. Because of the alien factor, this isn't your typical zombie book, and I found that take on the genre refreshing. There is the element of Christian fiction as well, but it doesn't overwhelm the zombies. I think fans of zombie fiction or even science fiction (who don't mind zombies) will enjoy this read as much as I did. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Rating: 4/5 GiveawayAbout the Author
